The Hastings Boys' High School Foundation Refund Policy
The Hastings Boys' High School Foundation are very grateful for your support. Because of the nature of charity donations, all donations are final and are non-refundable. Please make sure that the amount you enter is the amount that you wish to give. Should this amount be incorrect, please contact us as soon as you are made aware of the error.

Privacy Policy
Hastings Boys' High School Foundation complies with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 when dealing with personal information. Personal information is any information that is about you or could identify you. Your name is the most basic example, but there is other identifiable information.

The fundamentals about your privacy rights that you need to be aware of are:
- you know when and why your information is being collected
- your information is used and shared appropriately
- your information is kept safe and secure
- you can access the information an organisation holds about you

The collection, use of and storage of any information we have obtained for you is outlined in our Privacy Policy. This can be located on our website. We maintain donor privacy with the same standards we maintain privacy of young people, their whanau and other organisations. We are committed to protecting your privacy and will keep information confidential, unless:
A. Authorisation is provided by you
B. We face a limitation of confidentiality
C. Or, we are required to disclose by law

Donor Information
Information about donations is handled with respect and confidentiality to the extent required by law. Some donors prefer anonymity, therefore Hastings Boys' High School Foundation will respect the wishes of the contributors who prefer their gift to remain confidential.

The personal information that is provided by a donor when making an online donation will be protected by Hastings Boys' High School Foundation.

- When donations, whether solicited or not, are made to Hastings Boys' High School Foundation we will collect personal information about the donor including email address, phone number, donation amounts etc. Specific requests made by donors will also be collected i.e. requests to remain anonymous
- We do not obtain information about individuals from other organisations unless those concerned have authorised such collection
- Donors have the option to have their name publicly associated with their donation. However, unless the donor explicitly chooses to have their name associated with their donation, the default is that all donations are not to be publicly announced. Comments given in donor forms may be used in promotional materials while comments sent to us via email, fax or telephone are kept strictly confidential.
- Information and donations will be stored securely, according to our Privacy Policy. Physical donations will be stored securely and the responsibility of our Trustees, until such a time as it needs to be processed (our aim is as soon as practicable). The related documentation will be archived, until the time it needs to be securely destroyed
- Hastings Boys' High School Foundation collects or obtains personal information from donors for the following purposes:
A. To distribute receipts for donations;
B. To send acknowledgement letters and thank you notes for donations
Financial information

All access to donor financial information is strictly limited to Hastings Boys' High School Foundation Trustees, responsible for processing and reporting on this data. For online payments, Hastings Boys' High School Foundation only uses processing services with world class security and strong reputations. The Hastings Boys' High School Foundation does not have access to your credit card or account details sent to those processing services and the information is not stored electronically by Hastings Boys' High School Foundation.
